Master Property Policies

• Check-in time is 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
• After 6:30 PM, guests may use self-check-in. Detailed instructions will be provided prior to arrival.
• A live-in Innkeeper is available at Canal Street Inn if assistance is needed.
• Early check-in may be accommodated at no additional charge, subject to availability. Please email in advance if early arrival is anticipated.

• Check-out time is 11:00 AM.
• Luggage storage may be available upon request.
• Late check-out may be accommodated, subject to availability, for a small fee.
• All keys must be returned at check-out. Misplaced or unreturned keys will incur a $45 replacement fee.

• Rates are based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted.
• Rates do not include applicable taxes (14.75% + $0.50 per night).
• Additional guests: $35 per night, plus tax.
• A valid credit card is required to guarantee all reservations.

Standard Reservations (1–2 Rooms)

• A deposit equal to the first night’s stay, plus tax and applicable credit card fees, is required at booking.
• Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to arrival receive a refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations within 14 days of arrival forfeit the deposit.
• Failure to arrive (no-show) will result in the full reservation amount, including taxes and fees, being charged.

Group Reservations (3 or More Rooms)

• Considered a group booking.
• Deposit equal to the first night for each room required at booking.
• Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to arrival receive a refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations within 30 days of arrival forfeit the deposit.
• A non-refundable first-night deposit will be charged 90 days prior to arrival.

Special events include Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, Essence Fest, Voodoo Fest, New Year’s, and major sporting events.

• $25 administrative fee applies to all cancellations.
• Second non-refundable deposit due 60 days prior to check-in.
• If canceled within 60 days and the reservation cannot be rebooked, the entire reservation is forfeited.

• $1,500 non-refundable deposit required to reserve.
• Second $1,500 non-refundable deposit due 60 days prior to arrival.
• Remaining balance due 2 days before check-in.

Cancellations are permitted up to 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations within 60 days forfeit the reservation.

In cases of Acts of God, catastrophes, or state mandates, a gift certificate valid for one year will be issued. No cash refunds.

Reservations may be canceled 60 days or more prior to arrival. Cancellations within 60 days result in forfeiture of the reservation.

• Canal Street Inn: Limited complimentary parking, first-come, first-served.
• Garden View House: Street parking only unless Main House is also rented.

• Children over 8 years old permitted with management approval.
• Children of all ages permitted with whole-house rentals.

Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines and may not be left unattended.

All properties are smoke-free indoors. Outdoor smoking must occur at least 20 feet from doors and windows, in accordance with City of New Orleans ordinances.

• Jacuzzi hours are 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, unless otherwise posted.
• Use of the jacuzzi is at guests’ own risk.
• The jacuzzi may be temporarily unavailable during your stay due to cleaning, maintenance, repairs, or renovation.
• Availability is not guaranteed and may change without notice.
• Guests are required to confirm jacuzzi availability with the Manager at check-in.
• No refunds or discounts will be issued due to temporary jacuzzi closure.

Occupancy

• Maximum 3 overnight guests.
• Up to 15 guests permitted for event preparation only.
• No after-parties or events.

Noise & Non-Disturbance

Quiet Hours:

• Weekdays: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM

Noise ordinance violations or police involvement will result in a $500 penalty, plus any city-issued fines.

Trash

• Trash pickup: Mondays before 7:00 AM.
• Improper disposal or excess trash incurs a $50 disposal fee.

Due to the historic nature of the property, accessibility features are limited. Canal Street Inn offers one van-accessible parking space and one ground-floor accessible guest room with an attached accessible bathroom. There is no elevator or accessible public restroom.
